An endotracheal tube is a device that is inserted through the patient's mouth or nose to serve as an artificial airway. It passes through the vocal chords and into the trachea to help breathing. It is this tube that connects the patient to a respirator.
Endotracheal tubes are used during emergency airway management (necessitated by trauma, cardiac arrest, etc.), preoperatively to facilitate artificial ventilation and anaesthesia, and to allow efficient airway management for artificially ventilated patients in intensive care units.
Unomedical Malaysia provides a wide range of endotracheal tubes manufactured in accordance with the same stringent standards that healthcare professionals everywhere have grown to depend on. At Unomedical, the patient’s comfort and safety are given top priority, and this is reflected in the variety of unique features that facilitate the execution of atraumatic intubations. Short- and long-term intubations demand different solutions, and our endotracheal tubes are manufactured accordingly, with features ranging from reinforced shafts to low pressure cuffs to an array of different shapes and sizes to suit each patient’s individual needs.
